This year has been one full of perseverance and new challenges. I set the bar extremely high for myself in hopes that I would prove to myself that I can do so much more than I thought possible. But in past endeavors, I have found myself being one with a louder bark than bite. Meaning that when the going gets tough, I stop pushing. But I’m trying.
I’m not giving up!
I still have six more months to go on my Daily 365 photo project. I still have twenty-six more weeks of my 52 Profiles project. I don’t want to reach the end of this year with an apology and a poor excuse on why I didn’t finish what I started. I want to reach the end with my arms raised in victory and a smile on my face. I want to prove to myself that I am capable of more than my past mistakes.
I can definitely relate to this. I started this year with epic plans for my life, and my “career”, yet here I am living in my mother-in-law’s house, with no job, and no real prospect of one at this point.
Mind you, it’s not all bad, the fact that I’m in my mother-in-law’s house means that I’ve finally moved back closer to my family, which is awesome, and I actually have friends in this city, but I’m no closer to actually attaining what I want “professionally”.
Here’s to not giving up though

Do it! Setting goals and challenging your self is super rewarding! I know you can do it man, and i am sure the process will be a great learning experience.

I admire your ambition to complete all those projects and achieve the things you set out to do. As a recent college graduate, I have started to set myself on a path that I have long been waiting for. I started eating much healthier, getting regular exercise, and now what’s left is for me to start advancing my career, improving my portfolio, and finding regular freelance clients while I look for a full-time job.
Thanks,
Lasha

Dude, you got this! You’re over half-way there So you’ve already done once what you need to do to finish this project out. You’ve already proven you can finish this year out strong. You just have to see it through. I, for one, will not accept any apologies from you should you end up not making it to December. =D
I just saw your 52 Profiles site and was impressed! Keep it up dude, you are more talented than many other designers out there. I’d love to get a profile done as well
