Seven Eight Nine

Without further ado I’m pleased to announce the first ever tinychat design panel. I’ve been working out the details over the last few weeks and finally got word back from everyone on the panel, so I decided now is the time to let you all know.

I’m really excited about this, as it’s different from other “design chats” in that we will actually be live via tinychat and will be able to answer your questions.

However, this is the first time I’ve done something like this, so I’m not expecting it to go perfect. But that’s what living is all about, getting our hands dirty and learning by experience. So over the next few weeks we will be working out the details and getting everything in order. As of right now I’m not sure where we will be hosting the site. My initial thought was to embed it on my site, but there’s also talk about creating a new site branded just for this event. I really like the way Mashable has set up the lounge on their website.

I hope you will join us and get even more excited about it than we are. Joining myself on the panel will be:

Confirmed:
Aaron Irizarry – thisisaaronslife.com
Chad Engle – fuelyourapps.com
Chris Spooner – blog.spoongraphics.co.uk
David Perel – from-the-couch.com
Graham Smith – imjustcreative.com

Tentative:
Adelle Charles – fuelyourcreativity.com
Liam McKay – wefunction.com

Please use the hashtag #TCDP when tweeting about this event.

    • Roger that. I’m not sure if we are going to extend the video to anyone outside of those on the panel, but if we do open it up I will be sure you get your spot. I’m super excited as well.

  1. Love the idea. After the short chat earlier, how are you going to attempt to keep out the fluff?

I can’t wait to get on board! Hope I can get a stop too.

  2. Great idea Kyle.

I’ll vote for a recording the session for review later, not sure if I can make it live either.
Already have a strong panel in stone and looking forward to hearing from Chad and Spooner! Now to think of some questions I might have for the crew.

    Cheers!

  3. Very very cool. From the first time I logged onto tinychat a few weeks back I thought it would be great to organize it around a topic or speaker. Glad to see you running with it.

  4. That’s pretty cool, I like Tinychat quite a bit. I think ustream does have the multiple stream ability, but I don’t know if it’s easier or more difficult (I know someone mentioned wanting to record, which ustream does). I’ll be a watchin’!

  5. I am pretty stoked about this Kyle. I am sure people that attend @DCTH on a regular basis are as well. I can record the session and then post it at a later date for those that are not in attendance. Should be a great time.
